The dairy effluent “Warrant of Fitness” (WOF) identifies if a Dairy Effluent Treatment System is fit for purpose and capable of being compliant 365 days a year.
The WOF is completed by trained and certified AgFirst Engineering staff.
What is a Dairy Effluent WOF?
A Dairy Effluent WOF will:
- Review the farms effluent application resource consent conditions or permitted rules to determine that effluent treatment and application system are compliant.
- Review nutrient budgets and check nitrogen loading.
- Calculate required effluent storage volumes using the effluent storage calculator.
- Check effluent storage facilities for signs of leakage or potential failure.
- Measure the application depths and application rates of the land application system.
